Does IV therapy hurt?

Besides a swift pinch felt as the needle enters the vein, your treatment will be painless.  Our patients state they hardly feel any discomfort at all. There are only a few ingredients known to cause some discomfort so when working with these nutrients we add a local anesthetic, such as lidocaine, to reduce pain as much as possible. Learn more about our IV Therapy here.

Are treatments covered by insurance?

Our clinic does not submit to insurance.  Please be aware that payment is expected at the time of service. Some insurance carriers may cover medical services and laboratory tests performed by our clinicians. We can provide a detailed receipt for services performed for you to submit to your insurance carrier directly. If desired, you may choose to directly submit to your insurance after treatment with your records.

Can the physicians at UPGRADE Performance Institute be my primary care physician?

No, we require that you have your own primary care physician. While our physicians are board certified they do not provide acute care services or act as primary care. We will work with you closely as consultants and coaches in preventive and nutritional therapies to help you address the roots of chronic health problems. They can confer with your primary care doctor if required.
